PHI-105 Topic 7 Discussion Question 1

Grand Canyon University’s slogan is “Find Your Purpose.” How have you used, or could you use critical thinking in finding your purpose?

PHI-105 Topic 7 Discussion Question 2

Based on your prior knowledge and chapter 7 of the ebook, what does it mean to use ethics in your thinking?

You must proofread your paper. But do not strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly. Papers with numerous misspelled words and grammatical mistakes will be penalized. Read over your paper – in silence and then aloud – before handing it in and make corrections as necessary. Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.

Use a standard 10 to 12 point (10 to 12 characters per inch) typeface. Smaller or compressed type and papers with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.

Likewise, large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and any other such attempts at “padding” to increase the length of a paper are unacceptable, wasteful of trees, and will not fool your professor.

The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced with a one-inch margin on the top, bottom, and sides of each page. When submitting hard copy, be sure to use white paper and print out using dark ink. If it is hard to read your essay, it will also be hard to follow your argument.

what does it mean to use ethics in your thinking

Introduction

Ethics is a word that’s thrown around a lot in the workplace. It can be used as a tool to either maximize good in the world or minimize it. Whether or not you choose to use ethics depends on how you use them and what your goals are.

Ethics is a system of moral values based on the principles of right and wrong.

Ethics is a system of moral values based on the principles of right and wrong. It’s not the same as morals, which are feelings or personal preferences; ethics are principles that govern a person’s behavior.

Ethics may also be used to make decisions in our daily lives, like when you buy something at a store or decide whether to go out with friends on Friday night.

Cultures may have different sets of ethics, but all go back to the same basic human values.

Your culture’s ethics may be different from the one you grew up with, but they all go back to the same basic human values. They’re universal and not specific to any particular culture or time period.

The value of right and wrong is something we all share, regardless of where we live or what language we speak. It’s what keeps us safe as a society, whether it’s defending ourselves against enemies who are trying to kill us or protecting others from harm by keeping them safe from harm (like my dog).

Ethics aren’t just about keeping people safe; they also help us understand how things work so that we can make better decisions about them in the future

Ethics can be used as a tool to either maximize good in the world, or minimize it.

Ethics can be used as a tool to either maximize good in the world, or minimize it. The first step is to understand what kind of ethics you want to use. If your goal is simply to do what’s right and avoid doing harm, then this will be easy for you! But if your goal is more complex or nuanced than that (like improving human rights), then it might be harder for you to find an answer.

As long as we all make decisions based on our own personal values and beliefs about what we think is best for ourselves and others (including animals), then there should be no problem with using different ethical systems throughout life!

Whether it’s a good thing to use ethics depends on how you use them.

  • Use ethics to help others.

  • Use ethics to help yourself.

  • Use ethics to help the world, or at least your corner of it.

  • And finally, use ethics as a tool for building and maintaining a healthy society—or maybe even an ideal one!

Ask yourself what that you would like others to do, and do those things instead.

  • Ask yourself what that you would like others to do, and do those things instead.

  • Ask yourself how you would like to be understood by others.

  • Ask yourself how they will react if they knew your true self (and vice versa).

  • In short: Try to use ethics in your thinking as much as possible!

Ethics are a great tool, but only when used correctly.

Ethics are a great tool, but only when used correctly.

Ethics are not rules to follow or laws to obey; they’re more of a guide to help you make good decisions in any situation. When used properly, ethics can be an invaluable asset when making ethical choices, especially during challenges and dilemmas where one’s knowledge of right and wrong may be limited or lacking altogether.

Conclusion

To sum up, ethics are a great tool for thinking about your actions and their consequences. They provide you with guidance so that you can make the right decisions and treat others in a way that is both ethical and moral. But using them correctly can be hard because they’re often not taught in school until later on in life, when it’s too late to use them effectively – like when trying to lose weight or quit smoking cigarettes!

So remember: if something sounds too good to be true (like “instant success”), then it probably is just another scam trying to trick people out of their money. Always do your research before investing any money into an MLM company; there’s no such thing as free lunch after all!
