Students will learn to calculate the measures of central tendency (Mean, Median, Mode, and mid-range) and determine which of these is the best average number and why? They will also understand the importance of weighted means.  

Read all the highlighted information on pages 92- 98 as well as complete the suggested Study Guide exercise #1 (page 94) and #2 (page 97).  

Submit your solution to (section 3.1) problems #1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 12 & 15 (pages 99 … 101).
