Note: Do not presume that Yehoshua (Jesus) of Natzaret never gave offense when he spoke. His messages against religious hypocrites were particularly harsh, as exemplified in Matthew 23.

You will now use the information gleaned from the Bible and from the texts of the Catechism and the Compendium to delineate the teachings listed below in a concise manner

  1. Catholic Understanding of God as the Holy Trinity
  2. Salvation is Achieved through the Paschal Mystery of Yehoshua ha Mashiakh (Jesus Christ)
  3. Eschatology (Explain both: Death & the Afterlife, & the End of Time)
  4. Freedom (Take into account: Exodus 5:1; Exodus 8:1; Exodus 9:1; Galatians 5:13)
  5. Virtues (the 3 Theological Virtues & the 4 Cardinal Virtues) & Vices (the 7 Deadly Sins)
  6. Sin (Explain: Original Sin, Mortal Sins, & Venial Sins), Temptation, & Reconciliation

When completing  the following guidelines must be followed. Failure to do so will result in points being deducted from your grade: 

  • This report must be typed in any 12-point non-ornamental font & single-spaced.
  • Each section of the report must include a section title on a separate line (ex: Freedom, Virtues, Sin, etc.).
  • Incorporate at least 2 direct quotations with appropriate footnotes.
    • The First quotation must come from the specific section of the Catechism of the Catholic Church in the required readings.
    • The Second quotation with accompanying footnote must come from the specific section of the Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church in the required readings.
  • The report should be formatted per current Chicago-Turabian (CMOS) style and at least 2 full pages in length (at least .5 pages per section). 
  • Your report will be assessed for plagiarism through Turnitin.
