Network topologies are the physical layout of a network and its components. They can be classified into two types: bus topology and star topology.

Bus Topology: In this type, all nodes communicate through one central hub node that passes messages to other nodes in the form of I/O cycles (input/output). For example, a computer with two internal hard drives connected via SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) cable would use a bus topology because all data transfers go through this single point on your machine’s motherboard. If you have more than one hard drive connected but still want to access each one independently, then you would use a star topology instead.
