Use a search engine to find your local state government website. The official site will typically include .gov at the end of the URL. From there, you can explore all the bills that are being reviewed or have recently been voted on.

Initial Post

In an initial post, respond to the following:
Using the official state government website, look at current health policies/practices for your home community that are up for a vote.
Prepare a testimony to your legislative representative explaining how you think they should vote and support your stance.
Share your testimony with the class.
Class participation will be based on weekly participation in discussions. Participation will be measured for the quality (clarity, relevance, and factual knowledge) of contributions. You should use the week’s reading and scholarly resources, including assigned readings, to support your response. Initial posts in response to discussion questions are due each Wednesday by midnight and must be approximately 200–250 words unless otherwise specified.
