Introduction
As humans, we often feel like we have no control over the outcomes of our actions. We can’t choose whether or not to get sick, and even if we do get sick (which is rare), there’s nothing we can do about it but wait it out. But this doesn’t mean that taking responsibility for our actions isn’t helpful—it just means that sometimes taking responsibility isn’t enough! So what should we do? How can you learn how to take more personal responsibility for your actions?

Listen to what others say and think about their perspective. Be honest with yourself as well as they are, so that you can clearly understand the situation from all sides.

Take time to think about the situation and how it affects other people in your life, including yourself. If there is something that needs changing in order to make things better for everyone involved, then do something about it! You don’t have to wait until tomorrow; right now is perfect for making changes!

You’ve probably heard the saying, “Actions speak louder than words.” In this case, the actions spoke louder than words. When you fail to take responsibility for your own actions and outcomes, other people are affected because they have no way of knowing what you are thinking or feeling in any given situation. The lack of clarity can cause problems for everyone involved! If we don’t communicate effectively with others then our relationship will suffer—both personally and professionally.
Why do you think that the two instances had such different outcomes?
In this exercise, you will be asked to think about two situations in which two people had different outcomes. The first example is from a movie called “A Beautiful Mind,” starring Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly. John Nash (Crowe) is a brilliant mathematician who suffers from schizophrenia and has been diagnosed as having paranoid schizophrenia. In the movie, he solves complex equations without ever touching paper or pencils; instead, he solves them by putting equations onto pieces of paper until they match up with his thoughts—which makes him appear crazy to others around him.
The second example comes from real life: It’s about an 18-year-old boy named Vincent Gray who was shot dead by police officers while resisting arrest outside his home on April 28th 2015 at 6am local time (1 am BST).

The takeaway is a call to action. It should be short, concise and directly related to the article you read. For example, if you read an article about how people don’t value themselves enough in order to get what they want in life and that it’s important for them to change their behavior so they can achieve those goals, then your takeaway could be something like “I need more self-care” or “I should start meditating more often.”
A great way of making sure your takeaway resonates with others is by sharing on social media or emailing family members who might benefit from reading it!
Conclusion
Everyone has areas of their lives they wish they could improve, but many people find that it’s difficult to make these changes. The most important thing is to take action! If you want to make a change in your life and see the results, then start by taking responsibility for your actions. You can do this by reflecting on past situations where you took responsibility for what happened or failed to take responsibility for something else and describing how those situations affected your outcomes. We hope these examples have inspired you to think about some of the ways in which taking responsibility might improve others’ lives around them as well!
