As you continue your examination of the use of and purposes for FMEA,  you will begin to critically evaluate the numbers associated with your  analyses. That is, the rates with which certain processes may be failing  in your health services organization will allow you to strategically  assess and implement efforts aimed to reduce errors and to promote  quality health care delivery.

For this Assignment, review the resources for this week regarding  chi-square, ANOVA, ANOM, and regression. Pay particular attention to the  examples shown in the textbook. Consider how these tools may contribute  to the value-chain perspective.

Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.

Use a standard 10 to 12 point (10 to 12 characters per inch) typeface. Smaller or compressed type and papers with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.

Likewise, large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and any other such attempts at “padding” to increase the length of a paper are unacceptable, wasteful of trees, and will not fool your professor.

The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced with a one-inch margin on the top, bottom, and sides of each page. When submitting hard copy, be sure to use white paper and print out using dark ink. If it is hard to read your essay, it will also be hard to follow your argument. How to do FMEA?

Finally, rank each potential corrective action based on its severity level (i.e., low risk = 1 point; medium risk = 2 points; high risk = 3 points).

Example – FMEA for a Car with an ABS System

An example of a car with an ABS system would be a Honda Accord. The failure mode is that the driver loses control of their vehicle, and they end up in a ditch. This can be caused by any number of things, such as driving too fast on the highway or not paying attention to the road conditions. The effects of this failure mode include damage to car parts and injuries to occupants inside the vehicle. If this happens in front of other people who may have been injured due to lack of safety features (like airbags), then there could be even more serious consequences as well!

The severity level is based on how many lives were at risk due to this one incident happening again before something better could be done about it (i.e., improved designs). It also includes whether or not anyone was killed during its occurrence; if so then we’d say there was no chance whatsoever for success since death occurs every time someone gets into an accident like this one does automatically without fail every time someone tries using their own judgement too much instead good common sense when making decisions about what kinds
