UAGC | ECE673 | WEEK 2 [MUSIC PLAYING]

Welcome to week two. It is important to note that if you have submitted your discussion posts and

assignments in week one through five of this course, you have already done much of the work for the

final project. You will continue to work on your final project. However, let's delve deeper into what is

required.

Mentioned in the previous video, there are two parts to this final project. Part one is the educational law

tool box. This part is required for everyone and will include four sections.

Section 1, the Six ISLLC Standards Resource List. As a reminder, your week one

discussion on these standards should be a helpful resource in completing this section of

your final project.

Section 2, General Law, Politics, and Ethics resource. Completing your assignments and

reviewing the required and recommended resources will help you complete this section

of your project.

Section 3, Religious Expression Resources, Guidelines, and Responses.

And section 4, Resources for Cultural Competency and Undocumented Families. Keep in

mind that one of your upcoming discussions in week four will be helpful in this section.

This week, you will focus on section 3 In this section of your final project you will outline your plan to

respond to potential dilemmas surrounding religious expressions in your teaching practice. Compose

specific guidelines you will use to influence your decision making that you've learned.

To help you prepare for this section, you will complete the religious expression Let Us Pray assignment.

In this assignment, you will explore the impact of the 14th Amendment, the challenges with balancing

holiday activities with religious expression, the role of religion in public education, and potential

dilemmas surrounding religious expression. This week, you will also have an opportunity to practice

building your educational toolbox through an interactive. [MUSIC PLAYING]
