After watching the videos and reading this week’s chapters, respond critically to the following prompts:

· Consider the Freudian constructs of transference and countertransference. Do you think they can be used productively in a therapeutic context? How might you deal with a client’s transference? What about your own countertransference?

· After watching the two role-play videos, how do you use psychoanalytic theory to help those clients (based on your textbook reading of psychoanalytic theory)?

· How might psychoanalytic theory and Adlerian theory be integrated to help a client? (Give an example and explain)
