The development of a leadership culture serves as the foundation for continuously improving quality and safety in health care. Therefore, health care leaders must consider how to develop a culture of leadership in the organizations in which they serve. In this assignment you will discuss the development of a leadership culture in a health care organization.

The ability to lead people towards a common goal is one of the most important qualities for any leader to have. In fact, some would argue that companies run by leaders with poor leadership skills are more likely to fail than those run by effective leaders. More importantly though, if you want your employees to perform at their best and achieve their full potential then you need to make sure they have good leadership skills as well!

A leadership culture is the shared values, beliefs and behaviors that characterize an organization. It is a foundation for its success or failure.

A leadership culture is a shared vision, values and behaviors that are important to all members of the organization. Leadership cultures can be defined by their patterns of behavior in their interactions with each other (e.g., in team meetings), as well as how they treat others (e.g., customers).

A leader shares a vision, inspires others and works to improve their work environment.
