You have a personality. It has been measured, assessed and studied by psychologists for decades. The Big Five Personality Traits – openness, conscientiousness, extroversion, agreeableness and neuroticism – are the most widely accepted and used way of categorizing personality types around the world.

Personality is the result of your thoughts and behaviours, which are influenced by genetics, environment and culture. We all develop our own unique personalities based on the way we were brought up or how society has treated us so far in life. It’s also true that we can change our behaviour if we want to do something differently from what comes naturally to us as well as learn new things such as languages or sports!

The Big 5 personality traits are the 5 most widely accepted and studied trait dimensions in Personality Psychology.

The Big Five model of personality is based on the idea that there are five fundamental dimensions of human behavior: extraversion (the tendency to be outgoing or social), agreeableness (the tendency to be cooperative or helpful), conscientiousness (the tendency to persist with tasks over time), neuroticism (anxiety levels), and openness to experience (interest in new ideas).
