In 500-750 words, develop an evaluation plan to be included in your final evidence-based practice project. Provide the following criteria in the evaluation, making sure it is comprehensive and concise:

Describe the rationale for the methods used in collecting the outcome data.

Describe the ways in which the outcome measures evaluate the extent to which the project objectives are achieved.

Describe how the outcomes will be measured and evaluated based on the evidence. Address validity, reliability, and applicability.

Describe strategies to take if outcomes do not provide positive results.

Describe implications for practice and future research.

Introduction

In this section, you should provide a brief introduction to your project. This can be any paragraph or two that summarizes the rest of the proposal and sets up what you’ll cover in this section. You may also want to include a thesis statement at the top of it (if there isn’t one already).

In order for this section to be effective, it needs to answer at least one question: What problem does this project solve? And why is it important?

Problem Statement

A problem statement is a clear and concise statement of the problem. It should be written in the first person, and it should answer one question: “What is this situation trying to tell me?”

Examples of good problem statements include:

• What does this process look like?

• How does this skill transfer into other areas of my life?

• What do I need to know about myself in order to overcome these challenges successfully?

Purpose of EBP Project

The purpose of this project is to improve patient outcomes by implementing evidence-based practice change ideas.

The project will be evaluated using the evidence-based practice change ideas, evaluation plan, timeline and responsibilities.

Theoretical Framework

The theoretical framework is a way of understanding and explaining the problem. It helps us to see the problem in a broader context, by providing an overview of what has already been done or investigated.

Theoretical frameworks can be used to support evidence-based practice (EBP) work at all levels, including:

• Case study research as it relates to EBP;

• Formulation of questions related to EBP;

• Designing interventions based on existing knowledge within EBP;

Significance to Nursing and Patient Population

The use of evidence-based practice in nursing is highly significant to both nurses and patients. Nurses can be more confident that they are providing evidence-based practices, which will lead to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction. Additionally, as a result of using EBP, patients may experience less pain during procedures or recover more quickly after surgery if it is performed correctly following recommendations from an expert on the topic.

In addition to improving patient care through better planning during procedures or surgeries, using EBP will also improve safety by providing documentation that supports proper documentation when something goes wrong during a procedure or surgery (e.g., a mistake made). This documentation could include how much time was spent on each step within an intervention plan such as what medications were given as part of their treatment plan for someone who has cancer – this information could help prevent future problems down the road!

Evidence-Based Practice Change Ideas

The evidence-based practice change ideas are a result of the evidence-based practice evaluation. These changes need to be made in order for you to continue with your practice, and they will help you reach that goal.

Evaluation Plan

Evaluative research is an important part of evidence-based practice. It helps you to:

• Develop your knowledge about a topic or issue, including its context and history

• Learn how others have approached the same topic or issue in different ways (including how their approach might differ from yours)

The timeline for this project is as follows:
