Reflecting Achievement of Academic Outcomes

Introduction

It’s important for students to understand what academic outcomes are, how they can be achieved and the importance of them. It is also important to know what these outcomes mean in terms of university applications and interviews.

Attendance including classroom attendance, attending tutorials and other assessments.

Attendance includes classroom attendance, attending tutorials and other assessments.

If you miss a class: You may be excused from that class with approval by the teacher. If you don’t attend any classes or tutorials (or other assessment), then your academic performance will be affected. This can affect both your grade point average (GPA) and university results in the final year of study if it is not rectified promptly.

Not attending tutorial or assessment sessions may result in late submission of assignments and projects which could delay completion of work due date by several days at a time; this would also delay progress towards completion of degree requirements as well as graduation

Demeanour including appropriate behaviour in class and online, collaborating with colleagues.

  • You must be able to demonstrate an appropriate demeanour in class. This includes showing respect to your peers and teachers, being on time for classes, dressing appropriately and speaking in a professional manner.

  • You should also demonstrate an appropriate level of collaboration with other students within the class in order to achieve your academic outcomes.

Coursework completion including submission of all coursework by the deadline where possible.

Coursework completion is a key part of your course. You must complete all coursework by the deadlines where possible and submit it on time.

In order to meet this requirement, you should follow these steps:

  • Ensure that you have submitted all coursework by the deadline where possible (this will vary depending on the type of course).

  • Make sure that your submission is in the correct format and referencing style (for example, Word documents do not always work well with other programs).

If you find yourself unable to meet any deadlines:

Engagement including paying attention in lectures, active participation in discussion forums, completing relevant reading either prior to or between sessions.

Engagement refers to an active and engaged approach to learning. It includes paying attention in lectures, active participation in discussion forums, completing relevant reading either prior to or between sessions, etc.

Work ethic including having a positive attitude in class, trying hard even when it gets difficult.

  • Being positive and having a positive attitude in class

  • Trying hard even when it gets difficult

  • Staying focused on your work, even when you don’t feel like it.

  • Not giving up! You can do it! Don’t procrastinate!

Pro-activity is one of the crucial academic outcomes which can be developed through good academic achievement.

Pro-activity is one of the crucial academic outcomes which can be developed through good academic achievement. Pro-activity means you take initiative when learning, which leads to motivation and higher levels of effort. Motivation drives us to do things and therefore it is important for our success in studies.

Pro-activity also includes taking responsibility for your own learning process by being proactive in your study habits, setting goals and taking action steps towards achieving them; as well as having a positive attitude towards learning which includes being willing to try new things, challenging yourself through hard work or by making mistakes (learning from these experiences), developing strategies for overcoming challenges along the way if necessary—and finally feeling confident about yourself as you work towards meeting these challenges head on!

Conclusion

Congratulations on achieving the above targets! It is important to note that not all of these outcomes are necessarily attainable for everyone at the same time – some may be more difficult than others but the key is to work towards developing a combination of all of them. Remember that students need to do their best in order to achieve success in college and beyond; it’s not enough just knowing what they should be doing but also being willing
