NSG C820 – Identify which bio-reaction (fight, flight, freeze, or appease)
Describe three situations where you have experienced a bio-reaction.
1. Identify which bio-reaction (fight, flight, freeze, or appease) you were experiencing in each situation from part A.
2. Describe what was happening in the environment around you during each of the identified bio-reactions.
3. Describe how your body reacted and what emotions you felt during each of the identified bio-reactions.
4. Explain why it is important to be aware of your bio-reactions.

The three situations of a bio-reaction.
Introduction
A bio-reaction is a response by the immune system to some substance. It can be caused by a reaction that occurs when the body’s immune system recognizes the substance as a threat and has an abnormal reaction against it, or it can be caused by several substances occurring together that cause an overall increase in inflammation.
A bio-reaction to a substance occurs when the body’s immune system overreacts to the substance.
The immune system is a complex network of cells and organs that helps your body defend itself against foreign substances. When it comes to the body’s defense mechanisms, there are two ways in which the immune system can react:
-
A bio-reaction occurs when the body’s immune system overreacts to a foreign substance. For example, if you take penicillin for an infection, you may get an allergic reaction because your immune system thinks that penicillin is harmful.
-
A non-bio-reaction happens when the body recognizes its own tissues as safe but responds to them anyway (like when we get sick from taking antibiotics).
The immune system recognizes the substance as a threat, and has an abnormal reaction against that substance.
The immune system recognizes the substance as a threat, and has an abnormal reaction against that substance. This can happen if the body’s defense mechanism reacts to something that it should not be reacting to, like a virus or bacteria. The immune system also responds to foreign substances in your body by destroying them, removing them from your system and preventing them from causing harm again.
The immune system is overreacting because it thinks there might be something wrong with you due to this buildup of harmful chemicals in your body; however, there isn’t anything wrong with you at all!
There are three general situations in which a bio-reaction may occur:
The immune system is composed of cells, proteins and antibodies. The first two parts are involved in defending against foreign substances that are not harmful to our bodies; the third part can be activated when it recognizes a substance as foreign and reacts accordingly.
The first situation is when an immune response is triggered by something that shouldn’t be there but isn’t harmful (e.g., a food poisoning caused by eating spoiled meat). The second situation occurs when an inflammation occurs due to an infection or other harmful agent interacting with the body’s genetic materials (e.g., viruses). And finally there may also be situations where the initial reaction does not cause any problems but later on becomes chronic due to factors such as stress or psychological issues
Takeaway:
The takeaway is that you have to know what situation you are in. Then, you need to know how to react in each situation. Finally, you can prevent bio-reactions by knowing how they work and what they look like.
Conclusion
I hope that this blog post has given you a better understanding of what is actually happening in bio-reactions and how they can be treated. If you are suffering from a bio-reaction, it is important to contact your doctor immediately to get help.
