As a healthcare professional, understanding where to locate evidence-based resources in order to help your patients benefit from that knowledge will be useful in your career. One such resource is The National Center for Health Statistics. The Center has established Healthy People 2020 for tracking the nation’s health. In this assignment, you will begin from the topic you selected and propose a culturally competent, as defined by SAMHSA, community based health program.
Go to the Healthy People 2020 website and find the Topics & Objectives. Once you have located the 42 topic areas discussed on the website, choose a topic in which you are interested.
Write a 1,500-1,750-word paper in which you propose a community health program related to the topic you selected. Include the following in your proposal:
An overview of the program you are proposing. What is it? Who are the population(s) it will serve?
A rationale for the program.
A discussion of how the program will be established as and will remain culturally competent.
A discussion of how the program could be affected if budgetary restraints limited research in that field.

Like most of us, you’re busy with work and family. But while we all want to be healthy, we sometimes forget that there’s more to it than just eating right and exercising. To keep your body in tip-top shape (and mind), I’ve gathered some tips that will help you reach your health goals—no matter how long they take! The key is to set yourself up for success at every stage of life.
Stay positive.
The first step to planning for your future health is staying positive. Don’t focus on what you cannot do, but rather on all the things that you can do and will be able to accomplish in the future.
Think about how much better life would be if only we could get rid of cancer and heart disease! Or maybe it would be nice if we only had to worry about getting old once instead of multiple times throughout our lives.
The truth is that these negative thoughts will only make us feel worse and more anxious than we already are—so try not to dwell on them! Instead, think about all of the wonderful things in life: family members who love us unconditionally; healthy food options available everywhere; exercise equipment at home or near where I live now (I’m in San Diego); seeing friends every week or two weeks instead of less often due To work commitments).

The fear of the unknown is a normal response to the unknown. However, it can also be a motivator and hold you back from pursuing your dreams. Fear is a learned response, which means that you can unlearn it by practicing positive thinking until you believe in yourself again.
For example: When I was younger, my parents were very strict with me about how much TV I could watch or books I could read each day—but at age 16 (the age when many kids are allowed to have their own car), my dad gave me his old car instead of buying me one myself because he wanted me not just to learn how drive but also become independent from him and other adults who might be able to help us out financially if needed! This would mean we wouldn’t need anyone else’s help anymore!
Get outside your comfort zone to realize what you’re capable of.
To do this, you need to get outside your comfort zone. The more you push yourself and try new things, the more likely it is that you’ll realize what you’re capable of. If it’s something that scares you or makes no sense at all (like jumping off a cliff), then don’t do it! Instead, find ways to make yourself comfortable with those fears before attempting them—maybe by talking through them with friends first or finding someone who can help hold onto them for long enough for both parties’ mindsets change about what’s possible and impossible in life.
It’s also important not only for our own personal growth but also for society as a whole: we have all kinds of abilities beyond those we’ve been taught by traditional education systems; if we don’t use them now because they scare us or make no sense whatsoever (such as spending hours eating ice cream), then these abilities could disappear forever when future generations grow up under different circumstances than ours did when their parents were young adults themselves!
